Cyber Desk · Insight. Series: Digital disputes, as Indian courts actually see them.

Withdrawing consent in the app must meet a real path — not a buried mailto.

The delete-account button loops to a chatbot. Support says “email us.” DPDP withdrawal and grievance are not decoration. If taking consent was one tap, walking it back cannot hide in a mailbox that does not reply. Courts and regulators look at whether the path was usable — not whether a policy paragraph promised it.

A loop is not a remedy.

Withdrawal needs a door that opens.
