Cyber Desk · Insight. Series: Digital disputes, as Indian courts actually see them.

Letters of request are not email threads with a foreign SOC.

A startup DMs the cloud trust desk, screenshots the reply, and tells the court it has “done MLA.” Informal provider tickets and SOC emails can be useful commercially. They are not the same as a letter of request or mutual legal assistance channel under the formal process. Confusing a support thread with foreign judicial assistance weakens both the request and the court’s confidence in the party’s process story.

AWS DM ≠ letter of request.

Formal foreign process still has a form.
