Cyber Desk · Insight. Series: Digital disputes, as Indian courts actually see them.

In-camera digital exhibits still need a handling protocol when experts plug in.

A sealed drive does not become “anything goes” because the hearing is in-camera. Who may attach the media, on which machine, with what logging, and how many viewings are recorded still matters — especially where sensitive imagery is involved. Courts restrict access for a reason. Experts who plug in without a written protocol create a second dispute about chain of custody and unnecessary exposure. Sensitivity of content raises the duty; it does not erase it.

Sealed in court.

Still needs a handling protocol.
