Cyber Desk · Insight. Series: Digital disputes, as Indian courts actually see them.

Digital signature on the wrong company’s DSC token is an attribution disaster waiting.

Filings go out under a DSC that belongs to a sister concern’s CA token. Later, someone asks who actually authenticated the document. Digital signature proves a cryptographic act by a token holder — it does not invent the correct corporate identity if the wrong company’s credential was used. Attribution fights then turn on who held the token, who authorised its use, and what the filing purported to be. Convenience across group companies is how this problem is born.

Wrong DSC token.

Wrong attribution fight.
